How affiliate programs work

Affiliate programs are simply partnerships between suppliers of goods and services, on the one hand, and sellers of these goods and services on the other. Affiliates are appointed as independent advertisers and marketers and are paid an agreed commission (percentage of sale or fixed lead amount) for any sale deriving from their efforts. Unfortunately, largely due to the increasing websites on the Internet it has become very difficult to find out the genuine money making and rewarding affiliate programs, as there are so many fake programs already on the web that pay you nothing even after months of efforts. So, what you need to do is to figure out the best programs on the Internet and join them. Affiliates can be the most effective sales force a company has, if the product or service is good and the program is honest. Some affiliate programs have skimming clauses that will initially seem a good way for the company to save some money on commissions, but will just make them loose money because there is always competition willing to accept the promotion work of affiliates. But when both parties work for the same goal, the promotion of the company and a fair reward, it's a win-win situation. Affiliate managers should support their affiliates, they bring sales, not expenses like salaries or insurances. They are independent partners and should be respect as such, always support valuable assets.
